Illustration System
At the heart of the system are the building blocks, which I derived from the core of Abbott’s DNA, the Abbott “A.” The blocks are created by deconstructing the “A” into pieces and then used to compose Abbott illustrations. The shapes should inform formal decisions, ensuring a look and feel that is not only unique and cohesive, but also core to the Abbott brand.
Style Flexibility
By deriving the style from simple shapes it allows for a dynamic range of complexity allowing all art to be properly depicted at any scale
Anatomy Study
A major challenge for this project was the clients need to depict anatomy and humans. I worked hard to design a system that follows the rules and feels like real people with real human demographics, and without the need to fake diversity with rainbow colored faces. 😁
